Wobble Egg
A downloadable game
Two eggs. Same face. Still no match — because their tips are looking away.
WobbleEgg is a matching puzzle built on a rule that comes from real life. In
many countries there is an Easter tradition called *egg tapping*: two people
knock their eggs point against point, and whoever's shell survives wins. Every
egg on this board points somewhere, and a pair only counts if their tips meet.
You stop scanning the board for colour and start reading it for direction. It
is a familiar genre with an unfamiliar verb.
THREE WAYS TO PLAY
CAMPAIGN — 91 levels, 3 lives, and eggs that start decaying from level 15.
Miss a match and the crack stays with you for the rest of the level.
RELAX — The same 91 levels with nothing chasing you. No lives, no timers,
no cracks. Just the board.
KIDS — 24 levels where the eggs carry numbers instead of patterns. Each
level asks a question — ? + ? = 11, ? x ? = 15 — and you find two
eggs that answer it and face each other. Subtraction cares about
the order you tap in. Nothing punishes a wrong answer, so it is
safe to guess.
EVERYTHING HERE WAS GENERATED, NOT DRAWN
There are no licensed assets in this game. Every pattern, every crack, the
star, the yolk, the impact sounds, and the entire alphabet were produced by
code. The shatter uses a real 11-piece Voronoi fracture of the egg mesh, and
the crack marks follow the seams of that same fracture — so the shell always
breaks where it was going to break.
The impact sound was designed against psychoacoustic research: it avoids the
2-5 kHz band the ear finds aversive, and its rise time sits outside the
startle threshold. You will hear it a few hundred times. It should not wear
on you.
